Roger Simon, the co-founder of PJ Media and current columnist for The Epoch Times, said he believes President Joe Biden, who is 81-years old, is an “insult” to other individuals who are in their eighties.
“[Joe Biden] is an insult to octogenarians,” Simon, who is 80-years old himself, said on Tuesday’s edition of The Michael Patrick Leahy Show.
Simon said that while there are exceptions for individuals whose health nevertheless deteriorates with age, as long as “you keep moving, you’re fine.”
“I’m 80. I play tennis frequently with guys ranging from 40 to 83…We play a mean game and I will say this: When I say [Biden’s] an insult to octogenarians, he’s far worse. These days, unless somebody’s had something bad happen to them or bad luck or, bad genes or various things, if you’re watching your diet to some extent and…If you keep moving, you’re fine,” Simon said.
“If you work out, you get some chemical benefits that are going into your body right away. Nothing lightens your mood faster than a swift walk or running around the block or doing some kind of aerobic exercise. You cannot stay depressed. It’s very interesting and I think God did that for us,” Simon added.
When it comes specifically to Biden, Simon said he believes the president’s decades of “lying” has played a role in his apparent deteriorating health.
“I don’t know what happened to him. He did have strokes and stuff. And also, I think if you lie all of your life…The man started out in law school, of all places, lying and plagiarizing in law school,” Simon said.
“It’s immoral…Now, you don’t have to be a Zen Buddhist and believe totally in karma to realize that stuff adds up in your body, too,” Simon added.
Simon cited recent footage of Biden during fundraisers and events, in which the president appears to be in a state of confusion.
“We’ve seen these videos of the guy sort of like a zombie during public events, and then we have his spokesperson…telling us they were phony videos,” Simon said.
Simon said the most “interesting” and significant recent video of the president appearing confused was when former President Barack Obama grabbed Biden by the arm and led him off stage after he appeared to freeze during a Los Angeles fundraiser.
“What was really interesting at the Hollywood fundraiser was how Obama, at the end, took him by the arm and let him off as like his old grandpa who might fall off the stage at any moment. That was a symbolic tell of who’s really in charge here and what we’re going to be looking at. I think they’re ambivalent about kicking him out for the simple reason that Obama and his coterie, but mainly him, I think are running the show and they want to keep it that way,” Simon added.
